GEORGE TOWN – A two-year-old toddler was found dead at her babysitter’s house in Batu Maung today. The victim, Sophia Fatehah Wan Farhan Danial was believed to have drowned in a basin at the residence.
MalaysiaGazette was told that the toddler was the youngest among two siblings and her parents were working at a factory in Bayan Lepas.
The grandmother of the victim, Wan, said that she received a call from her son about the unfortunate incident.
“I received the call and I rushed from Taiping to the Penang Forensic Unit. We are still shocked by the incident as she has been under the care of the babysitter for quite some time,” said the woman when met at the Penang Forensic Department today.
Meanwhile, the Barat Daya District Police Chief, Superintendent A. Anbalagan verified the incident. –MalaysiaGazette
