JOHOR BAHRU – The Johor Police has got the Red Notice approval to get assistance from the Interpol to trace the position of Datuk Seri Nicky Liow Soon Hee and his wife, Niu Zhe, who is a Chinese national.
The Johor Police Chief, Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that the request to track Nicky was received last Tuesday, meanwhile, the approval to track Niu Zhe was received yesterday.
“We have obtained the Red Notice approval to trace Datuk Seri Nicky on 20 April.
“Meanwhile, for his Chinese national wife, Niu Zhe, we received it yesterday on 21 April,” he said during a news conference at the Johor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK).
On 15 April, MalaysiaGazette reported that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is in the midst of getting a red notice to request support from the Interpol in tracking down Nicky.
Earlier, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said that the PDRM had applied for two notices, the blue and the red notices.
The blue notice was to track the location of the suspects, meanwhile, the red notice would enable the police to make a request to the Interpol to arrest the suspects.
On another development, Ayob Khan verified the arrest on a senior police officer with the rank of Assistant Superintendent yesterday to assist into the investigation of organised crime led by Nicky. – MalaysiaGazette
