GEORGE TOWN – There is no signs of fugitive Datuk Seri Nicky Liow Soon Hee in Penang. The Johor Police is currently on a hunt for him.

The Chief Police of Penang, Datuk Sahabudin Abd Manan said that the Penang Police have received the information from the Johor Police to assist in tracking down the suspect.

“We received the information on the hunt for the suspect. We have informed the Penang Police, including those who are on duty in roadblocks,” he said.

Yesterday, MalaysiaGazette reported that the Founder of Winner Dynasty Group is wanted by the police and has yet to be arrested.

The Chief Police of Johor, Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that the viral news on the arrest of the suspect is fake.

The Johor Police have been hunting for the suspect as he is suspected to be involved in money-laundering cases and commercial crime.

The man is wanted for investigation under Section 130 V until 130 ZB of the Penal Code for organised crime.

Two of the investigation papers on the individual are opened under the The Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA) and Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012.

For the record Nicky Liow also made headlines in 2017 for assaulting 3 People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) members after they trio asked him to move his Toyota Vellfire near the Kau Ong Yah Temple in Ampang as it was obstructing the traffic. -MalaysiaGazette
