KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia witnessed another leap in Covid-19 infections today with 6,437 cases compared to 5,218 yesterday, an increment of 1,219 cases.

The palpable increment was driven by the rise of 1,361 cases in Kuala Lumpur, an increment of 892 cases compared to yesterday.

Selangor remained as the main contributor to the national cases with another 2,299 cases today.

Majority of the states also showed an uptrend of Covid-19 infections compared to yesterday, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Among them include Kedah (284), Penang (115), Melaka (252), Johor (271), Kelantan (131), Labuan (117), Negeri Sembilan (700), Pahang (250) and Putrajaya (32).

Drop of cases were recorded in Sabah (178), Sarawak (242) and Terengganu (21). Perlis, which recorded one case yesterday did not record any case today. –MalaysiaGazette
