KUALA LUMPUR – 20,837 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, shifting the cumulative cases in the country to 1,593,602.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that a spike of cases was detected in Sabah and it recorded 3,376 cases today compared to 2,474 cases yesterday.

Besides Sabah, Penang also suffered a surge of additional 603 cases by recording 2,054 Covid-19 cases today compared to 1,451 cases yesterday.

Perlis also showed an increment of almost 30% with 74 cases today compared to 57 cases yesterday.

The breakdown of cases according to states is as the following:
