TAWAU – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Supreme Council Member, Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin has passed away at around 6.23 am this morning due to Covid-19 complications.
He was after he was put on induced coma since 24 August.
The sad news was shared by the Director of Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (YADIM) Sabah, Samin Ongki through his Facebook today.
According to him, Lajim, who was the Executive Chairman of Amanah Ikthiar Malaysia (AIM) passed away at the KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital after being infected by Covid-19 on 12 August.
According to Samin, his remains will be brought back to Kampung Kabatu Beaufort for burial and it will be managed by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Lajim, 66, had several chronic diseases including heart and kidney diseases.
He was put on induced coma after his health condition deteriorated. –MalaysiaGazette
