KUALA LUMPUR – The President of UMNO, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi always put the people and the country first.
He said that his approach would never change despite the government has changed its leadership.
“Many asked if my attitude and approach would change after the government changes? The answer is, nothing will change.
“The benefit of the people and the country will remain as my priority in whatever situation,” he said in a Facebook post.
Ahmad Zahid said that he will continue to monitor, advise, give appropriate opinion, idea and suggestions to the government led by the new Prime Minister.
According to him, he wants to help the new government in controlling the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
“And to drive the national economy that has been badly affected for the past few years and the welfare of the people that must be given serious attention.
“Besides that, it is in line with the order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, who wanted everyone to work together to help the country recover,” he said.
According to Ahmad Zahid, the UMNO Supreme Council member has also set a guideline for the new government and places high confidence on Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob who has an open attitude.
“Insya-Allah (God willing), UMNO and its President is always with the people for the King, for the country. May everyone be healthy and protected by the Great One,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
