KUALA LUMPUR – The Klang Valley can transit into the next National Recovery Plan (PPN) phase following its high vaccination rate of over 80 percent.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob shared the news on his Facebook just now.

Nevertheless, he also said that it would only be decided after he hold a discussion with the Special Committee in Overcoming Covid-19 today.

“Congratulations to the Klang Valley for the excellent vaccination rate that has reached above 80%! With this, I think that the Klang Valley can transit into the next phase.

“All these will be decided after my discussion with the Special Committee to Over Covid-19 and the Cabinet Meeting that will be chaired by me later, InsyaAllah (God Willing). Once again I am so proud of everyone involved and this remarkable achievement,” he said in the social media post.

Earlier, the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) said that the cumulative vaccination as of 11.59pm last night has reached 34,027,548 doses.

The state which received the highest amount of at least single dose is the Klang Valley with 6,836,892 doses, meanwhile, 5,563,589 received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

The Klang Valley is a combination of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor. –MalaysiaGazette
