KUALA LUMPUR – Other than dine-in, the number of passengers in a vehicle is no longer limited to only two individuals for residents in National Recovery Plan (PPN) Phase 1 states.

Vehicles are allowed to carry its full capacity of passengers, with the condition that all passengers are have completed their Covid-19 vaccination, based on the latest standard operating procedures (SOP) issued by the National Security Council (MKN) yesterday.

However, old SOP will apply on those who have yet to complete their vaccination; limited to only two individuals in a car to get daily essentials or three in a car to accompany patients for medical treatment, vaccination or in cases of emergency.

A person is fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving their second Covid-19 dose (Pfizer, Astra Zeneca & Sinovac) or 28 days after receiving their single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson and CanSino).

At the moment, PPN Phase 1 states include Kedah, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Putrajaya.

New MKN SOP also struck off the 10 kilometre travel limit as long as they are within the same district.

Nevertheless, inter-district and interstate travel is still forbidden. –MalaysiaGazette
