KUALA LUMPUR – 18 Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday (10 Jan), a slight drop from 23 cases the day before.

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), from that amount, two cases were brought-in dead (BID).

The addition increased the Covid-19 death toll in Malaysia to 31,696 case.

Johor recorded the highest number of Covid—19 deaths yesterday with four cases, followed by Kedah with three cases.

Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Pahang and Terengganu recorded two deaths each meanwhile, Melaka, Perak and Kelantan recorded one case each.

No death was recorded in other states.

As at 12.00 midnight, 39,742 active cases have been reported in the country.

From that amount, 253 cases were admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU) and 106 of those cases required respiratory support. -MalaysiaGazette
