KUALA LUMPUR – UMNO has not discussed about the right time to hold the 15th General Election (GE15).
At the same time, Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri verified that he has not received any official or private suggestion on the date for GE15.
“Nobody brought it to be yet. Not yet. For the wings today, not yet.
“(Suggesting privately) No. We will have the Supreme Council meeting tonight. The motions from the wings will be discussed tonight. We’ll see,” he said when met at the UMNO Division Vice-Presidents Club Meet and Greet Ceremony today.
Commenting further, Ismail Sabri, who is also the Vice-President of UMNO said that the decision on the general election date must be approved by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA).
“All these must be discussed with the YDPA. If we fix our own dates, YDPA may say that we are taking over His Majesty’s power. We’ll wait,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
