BAYAN LEPAS – For the first time, former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak openly denied that he said ‘Apa Lagi Cina Mahu’ which was used as the headline of a Malay newspaper nine years ago.

He said, the frontpage headline of Utusan Malaysia published in May 2013 was used as the propaganda tool by DAP as his faced was also shown on the frontpage of the newspaper, along with the headline.

“That was not me. I repeat, I have never issued the sensitive and arrogant statement,” he said during his keynote address during the Penang International Business and Investment Summit at the Spice Convention Centre today.

The frontpage of the local Malay newspaper raked dissatisfaction, disgust and negative perceptions from the people.

Elaborating further, Najib said, the people in Penang should remember the fake promises of Pakatan Harapan (PH), especially their promise to abolish the Penang Bridge toll.

He said, the Chinese voters also need to remember the fake promises of PH, who wanted to give RM1,000 each year to the students from the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARC) after winning the 14th General Election (GE14).

“Not only that the students did not get RM1,000, they (DAP) gave a huge blow to the Chinese education system by reducing the fundings from RM30 million to RM5 million.

“This is just part of their fake promises and manifesto and I think it’s enough here because most of the people are aware of this,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
