KUALA LUMPUR – 16 cases of Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday (18 Apr), including four cases of Brought-in-Dead (BID).

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said, the cumulative death due to the coronavirus in the country has reached 35,437 cases.

According to the ministry, Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 death yesterday with five cases, followed by Johor which recorded three deaths.

Kedah, Penang and Terengganu recorded two cases each while Perak and Sarawak recorded one Covid-19 death respectively.

As of last midnight, there were 96,601 active cases in the country.

From that amount, 2,308 were under treatment in the hospitals including 110 in the intensive care unit (ICU).

68 cases required respiratory support.

The cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country has reached 4,396,165. –MalaysiaGazette
