KUALA LANGAT – Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman will remain as the Chairman of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad until the Parliament is dissolved.
The Member of Parliament of Pasir Salak said, until that happens, he will continue to work on assisting the management of Prasarana to become the best transportation service provider in the country.
“I will remain in the government until the Parliament is dissolved as this is the stand of the party.
“So, the duration of me remaining in the government, supporting the government, will depend on how long it takes for the Parliament to be dissolved. If it is tomorrow, then, I will exit the government tomorrow. It will be goodbye Prasana then, but if it is in August, then, I will do that in August. If it is next year, I will do that next year,” he said during a news conference after a work visit to the project site of ’U-Trough Casting Yard’ to witness the installation of U-Girder at Bandar Saujana Putra, Selangor.

Yesterday, Tajuddin said that he is ready to relinquish his position as the Chairman of Prasarana if UMNO leaves the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government officially.
He said, his position in the government-linked company (GLC) cannot be compared to his plight in UMNO.
“What will I do during this period before the general election? I will try my best to assist the management of Prasarana and employees to implement various programmes. Make Prasarana the best transportation service provider,” he said.
