KUALA LUMPUR – Nor Hizwan Ahmad, the Political Secretary to the Minister of Housing and Local Government, strongly denied any involvement to raise political fund amounting from third party to run political programmes in Shah Alam.

Lamenting the action of certain individuals who implicated him with the donation, Nor Hizwan lodged a police report at the Ampang Jaya Police Station yesterday.

According to the police report, Nor Hizwan received a WhatsApp message from his colleague at the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) wanting to verify the existence of an individual who used his name to request RM40,000 from another party.

“On 3 May 2021 at about 3.24 pm while I was in my car at Taman Kosas Ampang, I received a WhatsApp message from my colleague asking about an individual.

“After looking at the photo of the individual, I am confident that I do not know that man.

“Two screenshots were also sent to me, alleging that I have met the individual and had discussion about several matters involving giving me RM40,000 in cash,” said Nor Hizwan in his police report at the Ampang Jaya Police Station at around 9.52pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, Nor Hizwan also requested the individual who used him name to make an open apology within 24 hours.

“This is to clear my name, the office of the Minister of Housing and Local Government and the Minister of Housing and Local Government, Datuk Dr Zuraida Kamaruddin,” he said. – MalaysiaGazette
