EPF employees Provident Fund total lockdown closure

KUALA LUMPUR – The offices and service counters of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will be closed throughout the nationwide total lockdown that will begin from 1 until 14 June.

Therefore, all appointments made through the Online Appointment System is cancelled and EPF members need to make a new appointment after the total lockdown period if there is a need to be present at the EPF branches.

The appointments for the 50, 55 & 60 Years-Old Withdrawals and Loss of Ability will be given the priority after the offices and counters of EPF begin its operation.

This measure is taken as part of the effort to reduce face-to-face contacts to end the infection chain.

For EPF members who have made an application for the i-Sinar withdrawal and are still waiting for the payment through the Payment Order, the respective EPF branches will contact the members to collect he Payment Order at the branches selected by them.

Other services such as the application of housing withdrawal, Age 50, 55 and 60 can be made online through i-Akaun.

However, the thumbprint verification to complete the online transactions can only be done after the end of the total lockdown when the branches reopen.

EPF is aware of the complication that may occur due to its closure, however, this preventive measure is vital to curb the spread of Covid-19 and to ensure the safety and health of its members and employees. –MalaysiaGazette
