KUALA LUMPUR – After recording a drop of Covid-19 cases to 17,236 cases yesterday, the disease returned fiercer today with 19,991 cases.

Selangor continued to record the highest cases in the country with 7,338 cases.

“19,991 Covid-19 cases were reported today with the cumulative figure of 1,299,767 cases.

“Selangor recorded 7,338 cases, Kuala Lumpur 2,374, Johor 1,344, Sabah 1,383, Sarawak 836, Negeri Sembilan 564, Kedah 1,830, Penang 743, Kelantan 1,030, Perak 953, Melaka 578, Pahang 539, Terengganu 378, Labuan 1, Putrajaya 76 and Perlis with 24 cases,” said Noor Hisham in a twit.

Selangor recorded an increment of 1,598 cases compared to the 5,740 cases the state recorded yesterday.

Five other states which showed drastic increment of Covid-19 cases are Kuala Lumpur with an increment of 807 cases, Kedah with an increment of 502 cases.

Kelantan increased by 166 cases, meanwhile, Melaka increased by 179 cases compared to the 306 cases recorded yesterday. Sarawak also recorded an increment of 247 cases compared to its 589 cases yesterday.

Three other states showed drastic drop of cases namely, Negeri Sembilan with a decrease of 651 cases from 1,215 cases and Terengganu recorded a drop of 123 cases. –MalaysiaGazette
