KUALA LUMPUR – PAS has given its guarantee that the party will stay with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin through thick and thin, said the PAS Ulama Council Chief (DUPP), Dr. Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh.
According to him, as stated by the President of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), DUPP also rejects to compromise with kleptocrats who try to disrupt the administration process of the country and wish for power abuse.
Nik Muhammad Zawawi expressed his disappointment on certain political party leaders who are greedy and want power without caring for the people.
He also said that those people have caused instability in the political situation and disharmony that caused the resignation of Muhyiddin as the Prime Minister along with the whole Cabinet of Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.
“We accord our thanks to Muhyiddin as the Prime Minister, for his contribution for over 17 months of ruling.
“Despite the short span, Muhyiddin and his Cabinet have contributed a lot throughout the leadership of PN government.
“To us, he has done his best for the benefit of the country and the people, especially in handling the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said in the statement yesterday.
Yesterday, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has accepted the resignation of Muhyiddin as the Prime Minister along with his whole Cabinet with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Al-Sultan Abdullah also appointed Muhyiddin as the caretaker Prime Minister until a new premier is appointed. –MalaysiaGazette
