KUALA LUMPUR – Tan Sri Annuar Musa apologised for any shortcomings throughout his service as a minister and prayed for the wellbeing of all residents in the Federal Territories.

The former Minister of Federal Territories hoped all everyone in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan will continue to be taken care of.

“I truly understand and am aware of my shortcomings as the Minister of Federal Territories. I am a normal person who err. Therefore, I apologise for all my mistakes, weakness and shortcomings during my tenure of service.

“I pray that their lives, economy, social and safety will continue to recover.

“May everyone be blessed with strong immunity to face Covid-19 virus and other problems,” he said in his social media post today.

Earlier at 12.22 pm, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrived at Istana Negara to have an audience and inform the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on his resignation as the Prime Minister.

He chaired the Special Cabinet Meeting earlier at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya prior to the audience with the King.

Muhydidin lost his legitimacy as the Prime Minister after 15 Members of Parliament from UMNO led by its President, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi withdrew their support towards him and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.

According to Annuar, he remains calm and all decisions were made collectively.

“Most importantly, we always respect and obey the law and National Constitution.

“The main consideration is the welfare of the people. We serve the people right until the end,” he said. –MalaysiaGazette
