KUALA LUMPUR – The Covid-19 positive cases dropped to 22,262 cases today after breaking a new record of 23,564 cases yesterday.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the increment has shifted the cumulative cases in the country to 1,535,286 cases.

He said, Selangor is still holding the highest daily record with 7,011 cases and 552,131 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in that state to date.

After Selangor, Sabah is among the highest contributor of Covid-19 cases in the country with 2,651 cases (cumulative 119,318), followed by Sarawak 1,964 cases (96,528), Kedah 1,880 cases (79,888), Johor 1,558 cases (119,548), Penang 1,459 cases (69,341), Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur 1,220 cases (163,522) and Kelantan 1,039 cases (64,553).

Other states recording below 1,000 cases are Perak 946 (57,080), Melaka 882 (44,078), Pahang 664 (37,682), Terengganu 495 (27,626), Negeri Sembilan 405 (87,848), FT Putrajaya 41 (5,081), Perlis 38 (1,293) and FT Labuan with nine cases (9,769). – MalaysiaGazette
