KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Shah Alam on Tuesday was allowed to discharge yesterday.
The President of UMNO thanked the doctors, nurses and hospital staff for their treatment.
“I also thank all who were concerned about me. I’m grateful, Alhamdulillah, with His will, I am allowed to discharge by the hospital yesterday.
“Thank you to everyone who prayed for my health, including all UMNO members and my friends in the social media.
“Thanks to everyone who visited me throughout my stay in the hospital, including Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob who visited me despite his busy schedule,” he said.
Ahmad Zahid was admitted into the hospital on 24 August for spine injury.
Among the dignitaries who visited him were the Advisory Board Chairman of Barisan Nasional (BN), Datuk Seri Najib Razak; Deputy President of UMNO, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan; Women Chief of UMNO, Datuk Dr. Noraini Ahmad; UMNO Youth Chief, Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki; and the Menteri Besar of Selangor, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
He was also very touched after receiving the flowers and card from Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah. –MalaysiaGazette
