KUALA LUMPUR – There is no Deputy Prime Minister’s position in the new Cabinet under the leadership of the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
During the announcement of his Cabinet list, the Prime Minister went ahead and mentioned the names and posts of the four senior ministers namely, the Senior Minister of International Trade and Industries (MITI) Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Senior Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Senior Minister of Works Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and Senior Minister of Education Datuk Dr. Mohd. Radzi Jidin.
“I hope that this Cabinet will carry out their duty for the people and the country,” he said.
For the record, Ismail Sabri was the Deputy Prime Minister during the reign of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin earlier. –MalaysiaGazette
