KUALA LUMPUR – The President of Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA), Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has wasted an opportunity in making better choices on his new Cabinet.
According to the Member of Parliament (MP) of Muar said, Ismail Sabri should have appointment the Pengerang MP Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, UMNO Youth Chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, UMNO Information Chief Shahril Hamdan and PAS Deputy Youth Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari.
It is even more disappointing when the PM chooses to keep former ministers who did not perform well and have bad records.
“This is the main reason why UMNO allegedly wanted to topple the Kerajaan Gagal (failed government) earlier. However, when UMNO has the power to appoint a new Cabinet, they did the same thing. Kabinet Gagal 2.0.
“It’s just the same as the Cabinet appointed by the former PM. I see the Cabinet announcement by the Prime Minister just now as a wasted opportunity to appoint great individuals with commitment to build the country such as YB Azalina Othman, Dr Asyraf Wajdi, Shahril Hamdan, YB Ahmad Fadhli Shaari and others.
“Why reappoint Ministers who obviously did not perform well? Why are the ministers with bad records still part of this Government?
“Thus, the Kerajaan Gagal earlier was merely taking a leave for about two weeks before they come back to work,” he wrote on his Facebook post in response to the new Cabinet announcement by the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia. –MalaysiaGazette
