KUALA LUMPUR -Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah decreed that the appointment of Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the Prime Minister was made voluntarily.

His Majesty was satisfied after seeing that Ismail Sabri has garnered the support from 114 Members of Parliament and the number is enough to form a government.

Al-Sultan Abdullah then granted his consent to appoint Ismail Sabri as the Prime Minister, in line with the Federal Constitution, His Majesty decreed during the Opening Ceremony of the Fourth Term of 14th Parliament Sitting 2021 today.

Meanwhile, His Majesty also thanked Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for his service as the Prime Minister and his Cabinet for leading the country earlier. -MalaysiaGazette
