JASIN – The challenge thrown by UMNO veteran, Tan Sri Sharir Samad for Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) to withdraw their support for the Johor state government was out of bad intention.

The President of Bersatu, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the former Member of Parliament (MP) of Johor Bahru should not have challenged him to do so as it could really happen.

“That is a bad intention. I know Shahrir Samad. He wants what happened to Melaka, to happen in Johor.

“That an UMNO leader. What was he thinking about? Do not challenge me. I am the President of Bersatu and Perikatan Nasional.

“I only think about the people. Shahrir did not. He only wanted to challenge me. I can do that. Tomorrow, or now, I can press a button and everything will fall. Do you want to see that happen? Why would I be afraid to do so? I am not afraid. I am only concerned about the people,” he said during a news conference at Kampung Air Panas today. -MalaysiaGazette
