KUALA LUMPUR – The daily Covid-19 infections in the country continued to reduce to 17,828 cases yesterday, said the Director-General of Health.

Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, the daily cases reduced by 1,277 cases and the cumulative cases in the country has reached 4,010,952.

According to him, 17,421 cases were local infections, meanwhile, the remaining are imported cases.

9,121 cases were under Category 1; 8,551 cases were Category 2; 66 cases were Category 3; 48 cases were Category 4 while 53 cases were Category 5.

Meanwhile, Dr Noor Hisham said, 28,003 recoveries were recorded yesterday and the recoveries continued to exceed the number of infections in the country.

Meanwhile, he added, two new clusters have been identified by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Malaysia has recorded 6,914 Covid-19 clusters, 292 clusters are still active while 6,622 clusters have ended. -MalaysiaGazette
