KUALA LUMPUR – The number of Covid-19 deaths has reduced to 28 cases yesterday (4 April) compared to 30 cases the day before (3 April).

From the amount, seven cases were brought-in-dead (BID).

The latest figure shifted the pandemic death toll to 35,127 cases.

Selangor and Perak recorded six death each, followed by Johor (5), Penang (4), Negeri Sembilan (3), Pahang (2) and Kedah and Sarawak (1 case respectively).

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), 10,002 new Covid-19 cases, including 9,904 domestic infections and 98 imported cases were reported during the same period.

At the same time, there were 179,619 active cases in the country as of last midnight.

From that amount, 236 were under treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) and 140 cases required respiratory support.

As of last midnight, the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country has increased to 4,256,469 cases. – MalaysiaGazette
