KUALA LUMPUR – 33 new Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday, shifting the pandemic death toll to 35,160 cases.

From that amount, 10 cases were brought-in-dead (BID).

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), Selangor recorded eight deaths, Perak (six), Kedah (four), Sarawak (three), Johor, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang and Perlis (two each) while Penang and Kuala Lumpur recorded one Covid-19 respectively.

Malaysia witnessed an increment of 12,017 new Covid-19 cases as of last midnight with 171,172 active cases in the country.

From that amount, 234 cases were placed at the intensive care unit (ICU) with 131 requiring respiratory support.

The cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country has reached 4,268,486 cases. – MalaysiaGazette
