KUALA LUMPUR – Minister at Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan told the Dewan Rakyat that he will answer about the revocation of the Emergency Ordinance next Monday.

He said, the Members of Parliament (MPs) may raise issues on fines issued after the revocation of ordinance (21 July) during the briefing session by the Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba.

According to him, the authority to fine and issue compound is under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Health and he will also be explaining on the adjustments.

“On summonses and compounds issued after 21 July, those who will be charged at the court, I will explain about them on Monday.

“But, if the opposition cannot wait until Monday, they can interrupt during the briefing by the Minister of Health today,” said the MP of Kota Bharu (PAS).

The Pulai MP, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub (Amanah) then interrupted and insisted for Takiyuddin to answer that question immediately instead of waiting until Monday as he is concerned about the fines issued on the public after the ordinance was revoked.

Deputy Speaker of Dewan Rakyat, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said then reprimanded Salahuddin for not being patient with the date determined by the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat, Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun who had earlier fixed the Minister to answer that question next Monday. –MalaysiaGazette
