KUALA LUMPUR – The Members of Parliament (MPs) from UMNO including the former ministers of Perikatan Nasional (PN) are finally at peace?
The question was raised after a picture uploaded by UMNO Supreme Council Member, Armand Azha went viral today.
He also wrote on his Facebook post; Grateful. Alhamdulilah #SayaPilihPendamaian (#IChoosePeace).
However, Armand did no share what actually took place when the picture was taken.
The President of UMNO Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy President of UMNO Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and the Vice-President of UMNO Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob were seen sitting together in the picture.
The meeting is believed to take place at the Headquarters of UMNO as the Muafakat Nasional charter could also be seen at the background.
Ahmad Zahid was clad in suit with songkok and the photo is believed to be taken before he went to have an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara today.
The relationship between Ahmad Zahid and Ismail Sabri was in a rift after the President of UMNO and several party leaders withdrew their support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin as the Prime Minister while Ismail Sabri represented several other Members of Parliament (MPs) from Barisan Nasional (BN) stated their support for Muhyiddin.
The glaring question in the current scenario lies in if all MPs from UMNO and BN are united in choosing the next Prime Minister candidate to replace Muhyiddin? –MalaysiaGazette
