AYER KEROH – The social media was flooded by comments & posts about the fake degree issue surrounding the N.21 Duyong candidate from Perikatan Nasional (PN), Datuk Kamarudin Sedik.

Refused to maintain his silence, the PAS Commissioner of Melaka has sought legal advice on the matter.

“I have referred to the lawyer for further action. This is not a new issue. I have been attacked since 2018.

“I remained silent in the past, but I won’t do it anymore. It’s too much,” he said.

“The lawyer is compiling evidence and seeking the slanderer and distributor. I am not afraid because I know who did it.

“He was an UMNO member who got expelled and he’s not with Pakatan Harapan,” he said.

He also urged the perpetrator to issue a public apology to him.

“He was sued by UMNO in 2017 and he had to make an apology for slandering.

“I want him to do the same,” he added, adding that he will share his academic certificate soon.

“I will show it before 20 November,” he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about the stand of PAS towards the nomination of Datuk Mas Ermiyati Samsudin as the Chief Minister of Melaka, Kamarudin said that it is not an issue for PN.

“As a coalition party, our main mission is to win the election first. Actually, other names such as Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mat Akin was also mentioned for the post.

“I heard that I was also being nominated. Let’s just wait and see. Let PN win first and we will decide who to be the Chief Minister,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
