MELAKA – 95 members from the Tangga Batu Division of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) declared that they will leave their party to join UMNO last night.

The members of Bertam Division took the action after feeling that their plights have become meaningless.

According to the Permanent Chairman of Bertam Division Bersatu, Rosjihan Abdul Rahman, alleged that the leaders in Bersatu are selfish and they don’t care about the actual plight.

“We have been ignored. We have been left alone all this while. We are no more than detractors and steps for him (division leader) to portray himself and get position. We are disappointed and we felt insulted.

“We felt that we are not being appreciated, that is why we leave the party for the benefit of the religion, race and country,” he said in Klebang yesterday.

The event was also attended by the Tangga Batu Division UMNO Division leader cum the candidate for Sungai Udang State Assembly Seat, Datuk Seri Mohamad Ali Mohamad.

Last night, 500 members from Pengkalan Batu Bersatu also left the party without joining any other political parties. -MalaysiaGazette
