KUALA KUBU BHARU – A senior citizen was charged at the Magistrate Court for having unnatural sex with a doe to release his lust at Kampung Sungai Buaya, Rawang last July.
The accused, Shaari Hasan, 60, however pleaded not guilty after the charges under Section 377 and Section 289 of the Penal Code were read to him before Magistrate Nurul Mardihah Mohamed Redza.
Upon conviction, the jobless accused may face imprisonment of up to 20 years, fine and whip.
The accused arrived at the Magistrate Court at around 9.20 am this morning with the police.
According to the charges, on 27 July 2021 at around 1.30 pm, the accused was suspected to have unnatural sex with a female goat, causing the death of the doe at Kampung Sungai Buaya, Rawang.
The owner of the doe noticed the incident after hearing the strange bleat from her goat behind her house. She then went out to inspect the animal and found a half-naked man next to the doe, trying to get up, before he ran away.
Earlier, the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Selangor, Siti Khadijah Amir Hamzah did not offer any bail to the accused as the case was very serious.
The senior citizen who was represented by lawyer, Zolazrai Zolkapli said that the accused went to the court alone, without his family.
The magistrate then fixed 24 December 2021 for the mention of the case. -MalaysiaGazette
