PUTRAJAYA – Malaysia continues to record decreasing Covid-19 infection trend after it reported 5,899 new cases yesterday, shifting the cumulative cases in the country to 4,402,234.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that from the case, 16 were imported.

Selangor reported 3,579 cases, Kuala Lumpur (649), Perak (301), Negeri Sembilan (249), Johor (214), Penang (193), Sarawak (151), Kedah (126), Melaka (112), Sabah (85), Pahang (61), Terengganu (60), Putrajaya (60), Kelantan (25), Perlis (20) and Labuan (14).

In his statement, Dr. Noor Hisham said that five Covid-19 deaths were also reported as of last midnight. The Covid-19 death toll has hit 35,470 cases.

From that amount, four cases were brought-in-dead (BID), turning the cumulative BID cases in the country to 7,509 cases. – MalaysiaGazette
