KUALA LUMPUR – Six passengers involved in the Light Rail Transit (LRT) crash last night are now in a critical situation and three of them required respiratory support.

They are currently being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

According to the Minister of Federal Territory, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, based on the latest information from HKL, 15 other passengers are in a semi-critical situation while 43 others are non-critical.

64 crash victims were brought to HKL from the KLCC LRT Station last night.

During the 8.45 pm incident, a train carrying 213 passengers and a train on test-drive from the Kelana Jaya route collided in a tunner between the Kampung Baru LRT Station and the KLCC LRT Station.

The incident shocked the nation as it was the first in the history of LRT since its inception 23 years ago. –MalaysiaGazette
