KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia continued to record an increment of daily Covid-19 cases after it logged 11,618 new cases today, breaking the record of 11,079 cases yesterday.

The addition shifted the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country to 867,567 cases.

In a statement today, the Director-General of Health Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah said that Selangor is still contributing the highest number of cases with 5,051 and the state has recorded a total of 300,974 cases to date.

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur recorded 1,749 new daily cases with a cumulative of 92,837 cases, the second highest in the countr.

This is followed by Negeri Sembilan with 1,537 cases,  Johor (396), Sabah (286), Sarawak (289) and Penang (210).

Meanwhile, Kelantan recorded 236 cases, Kedah (504), Perak (164), Melaka (526), Pahang (400), Terengganu (189), FT Labuan (38), FT Putrajaya (40) and Perlis (3). -MalaysiaGazette
