KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) remains steadfast with Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman who is charged with criminal breach of trust (CBT) and misappropriation of Bersatu Youth Wing, Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (Armada)’s funds today.

MUDA says, they are confident that Syed Saddiq would get his defence soon.

“To get justice and truth, it has been proven again and again, we cannot depend on the current government.

“We respect the court processes and we await all evidences to be presented to the people so that they know what really happened,” said MUDA in a one-page statement today.

Syed Saddiq was slapped with two counts of charges at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today.

The Muar MP was charged with CBT of Armada’s funds amounting to RM1 million in year 2020 and the misappropriation of RM120,000 from donation for the 14th General Assembly (GE14).

Syed Saddiq, who was represented by counsels Gobind Singh Deo and Datuk S Ambiga pleaded not guilty to both charges and claimed trial.

Elaborating further, MUDA said that the party is not shaken by the two charges and it would not stop them from continuing to deny the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.

“Do right and fear no man. This prosecution would not hinder our spirit in opposing, voicing and objecting to each failure, stupidity and damage committed by the Perikatan Nasional government,” MUDA added. –MalaysiaGazette
