KUALA LUMPUR – The action UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi of instructing all Members of Parliament (MP) of his party to withdraw their support towards the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government is contradicting to the basis of ummah union stated in the Muafakat Nasional (MN) Charter.

The Deputy President of PAS, Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man also expressed his disappointment with the development.

He said, such action would indirectly affect the National Recovery Plan, the efforts to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and efforts in helping the people who are badly affected by the current situation.

According to him, PAS however remains confident that the foundation of MN is to unite the Muslims and to build the political strength of Malay Muslims. It must be defended for the sake of political stability, harmony and welfare of the country. – MalaysiaGazette
