KUALA LUMPUR – The government will announce the proposal to dispense Covid-19 vaccine for children and teenagers aged 12 to 17 years-old next week.
Coordinating Minister of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar said, the new circulation on the matter will be revised by the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
“@DGHisham… The new circular on the proposal revised by @JKJAVMY, PICK will begin to vaccinate children aged 12-17 years-old with the following priority:
- 12-17 with underlying health conditions
- 12-17 without medical condition based on their age
“The announcement will be made by @JKJAV next week on how the Covid-19 vaccination of teenagers will be implemented according to @DGHisham… the circular and latest clinical guideline is in the midst of being updated,” he, who is also the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation wrote on his Twitter handle.
Earlier, the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) verified that the registration for Covid-19 vaccine for children above 12 years-old has been opened through the MySejahtera application.
Priority will be given to students born on 2003 and who will continuing their studies abroad in the initial stage. – MalaysiaGazette
