KUALA LUMPUR – The people are urged to stop circulating old news about the RM1,000 cash aid for Covid-19 patients or their heir in Selangor.

The Permanent Chairperson of Selangor State Public Health Committee, Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said that the circulation of a news dated 22 July 2020 has caused a man to come to her office asking for the aid.

“We told him that the aid in the news was an aid given in 2020 and it has ceased in December 2020.

“If you see the message on the news, please do not forward to other individuals or groups,” she said in a Facebook post.

According to Siti Mariah, the assistance has been replaced with RM1,000 khairat death aid to the heir of Covid-19 patients and application can be made via www.selangorprihatin.com.

Last year, Covid-19 patients can receive an aid of RM1,000, however, now, the heir will receive the same amount for the death aid.

The aid for the patients announced in the Selangor Prihatin Phase 1 package has ended, however, the application for the Kita Selangor 2.0 Package maintains the amount and would channel it to the patient’s family upon their demise. –MalaysiaGazette
