KUALA LUMPUR – The Covid-19 cases increased by almost 4,000 cases today after recording 13,944 positive cases yesterday.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said that 17,134 Covid-19 positive cases have been reported today.

“On 9 February 2022, the number of Covid-19 cases is 17,134 cases, shifting the cumulative cases to 2,956,332,” he Tweeted.

The last time Malaysia hit 17,000 cases mark was on 17 September 2021 with 17,577 cases.

Last Monday (7 Feb), Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar predicted that the country will be facing an increment of Covid-19 cases of up to 15,000 daily cases following the Omicron variant wave. -MalaysiaGazette
