IPOH – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have identified five drug syndicates based in Malaysia led by dignitaries, Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador revealed after millions of ringgit of drug busts are made almost every week.

According to Abdul Hamid, based on the arrests made by the Narcotic Criminal Investigation Department (NCID), the syndicates toppled are led by dignitaries drug lords who hide behind their underlings.

“The PDRM have monitored these dignitaries for a long time. We are compiling evidences to implicate them on the activities.

“We do not want to raid and arrest the underlings when the mastermind are free to mobilise new syndicates to generate profit from these illegitimate activities.

“PDRM will find them and bring them to justice, ensuring the drug syndicates are being uprooted,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
