KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia is merely 0.9% away from reaching the 90% vaccination rate for adult population before the state borders are allowed to open for interstate travel.

Based on COVIDNOW, as of 12.00 midnight, 20,856,337 individuals or 89.1 percent of the adult population have completed their vaccination, meanwhile, 1,296,965 or 5.5 percent have received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Adolescents (PICK Adolescents) has witnessed 2,156,346 teenagers aged between 12 and 17 or 4.7 percent completing their two vaccination doses. Meanwhile, 2,008,408 adolescents have received their first dose.

64.3 percent of the total population in Malaysia, or 21,004,275 individuals have completed their Covid-19 vaccination.

According to the projection, Malaysia will reach 80 percent population vaccination rate within the next 40 days on 17 November.

196,647 daily doses have been given yesterday, shifting the cumulative doses since the launch of PICK in February to 45,204,479 doses. – MalaysiaGazette
