KUALA LUMPUR – The new Covid-19 positive cases increased to 9,002 cases yesterday (12 Apr) compared to 7,739 cases on Monday (11 Apr).

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said that there were 16,986 recoveries yesterday, shifting the cumulative recoveries from Covid-19 to 4,180,763 cases.

“From the 9,002 new cases, the cumulative cases has shifted to 4,342,559. 52 were imported involving 50 citizens and 2 non-citizens,” he said in a news statement today.

According to Dr Noor Hisham, there were 8,950 local infections involving 8,562 citizens and 388 non-citizens.

On the number of clusters, there are 117 active clusters in the country and three new clusters were detected yesterday.

Meanwhile, 6,838 Covid-19 clusters have ended. -MalaysiaGazette
