KUALA LUMPUR – 1,358 new Covid-19 cases were reported as of last midnight (5 June), shifting the cumulative cases to 4,514,989.
Selangor remained as the highest contributor to the daily positive cases after recording 569 cases, followed by the Federal Territory (FT) of Kuala Lumpur (264), Penang (105), Perak (90) and Negeri Sembilan (81).
Meanwhile, two Covid-19 deaths were recorded yesterday.
At the same time, 26 patients were treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including 12 who required respiratory support.
The number of active cases dropped to 22,183 cases in the same period, with 95.7 percent of the patients undergoing self-quarantine at home.
Concurrently, 1,620 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the disease, shifting the total recoveries to 4,457,118 cases. -MalaysiaGazette
