KUALA LUMPUR – The traffic at PLUS Expressway is projected to increase by 25% or 2 million vehicles during the last days of Ramadan from 29 April until 9 May, compared to its usual daily traffic of 1.6 million.

Therefore, PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) recommended motorists to plan their journey earlier to avoid being trapped in the traffic during the peak days and avoid traffic congestion in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration.

The Managing Director of PLUS, Datuk Azman Ismail said, PLUS will issue a Travel Time Advisory (TTA) to help the public plan their journey back to their hometown during the festive season.

“The expressway Operation Team are also ready to help the public to return to their hometown for the long-awaited Aidilfitri holidays this year.

“It involves a holistic approach which encompasses various aspects, including the adaptation of technology to increase the public safety and comfort,” he said.

According to Azman, the expressway operational plan will be announced later. -MalaysiaGazette
