Deputy Public Prosecutor, Datuk V Sithambaram requested for the defence team of Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s appeal to complete their argument on the misappropriation of RM42 million from SRC International Sdn. Bhd.

Timbalan Pendakwa Raya ad-hoc, Datuk V Sithambaram turut mempersoalkan sebab bekas Perdana Menteri itu yang menolak permintaan bekas Menteri Kewangan II, Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah untuk membawa delegasi daripada kementerian berkenaan, Bank Negara dan Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), bagi membuktikan wang berkenaan adalah pinjaman.

Timbalan Pendakwa Raya, Datuk V Sithambaram berkata, bekas Perdana Menteri itu mempunyai kepentingan peribadi apabila meluluskan jaminan kerajaan KWAP menerusi dua mesyuarat Kabinet, iaitu pada 17 Ogos 2011 dan 8 Februari 2012.

Ia selepas pasukan pembelaan Najib yang diketuai Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah selesai menggulung hujah rayuan semalam.
