PUTRAJAYA – The Director of Logistics and Technology Department of Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim has been appointed as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police with effect of today.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin made the announcement on the appointment during a news conference at his office today.

The Deputy IGP post was left vacant after its predecessor, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah was appointed as the Inspector-General of Police replacing Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador who retired. -MalaysiaGazette
