KUALA LUMPUR – The Registrar of Society (RoS) has approved the application of Parti Pejuang Tanahair (Pejuang) today.
Its Chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said that the approval of the party has been granted by the minister and director of the agency.
According to him, Pejuang has become a valid party and there is no reason for the party not to be registered.
“I would like to announce that Parti Pejuang has been registered. As a political party, we are thankful to the government that registered Pejuang and we think that we are not here to create problem, we do it according to the law,” he said during a virtual news conference today.
Dr Mahathir also welcomes anyone who wishes to join his party and he hopes that Pejuang would be more active after this.
When asked if Pejuang would work with Perikatan Nasional to form a stronger government, the Member of Parliament of Langkawi said that the party has no time to play political games.
He added, Pejuang would focus on the efforts to fight for the people, especially when the country is still battling the pandemic. –MalaysiaGazette
