KUALA LUMPUR – 1,053 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday (4 May), shifting the cumulative cases in Malaysia to 4,415,821 as of last midnight.

According to the data on COVIDNOW, three deaths were recorded yesterday, increasing the national pandemic death toll to 35,567 cases.

There were also 28,777 active cases in the country within the same period.

From that amount, 1,328 cases were under treatment at the hospitals nationwide. 74 of the cases were admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU) and 41 cases required respiratory support.

Meanwhile, 4,107 Covid-19 patients have recovered from the disease. – MalaysiaGazette
